To encourage discussions and the exchange of ideas and techniques, we chose for 2001 the Asilomar Conference Center, which has state of the art meeting facilities and a relaxed setting. Attendance was limited to approximately 150 participants.
There were oral sessions (35 minute presentations, including discussion) and poster sessions, and the topics for the meeting included but were not limited to:
The scope of this meeting did not include topics that are adequately covered at other meetings, for example general MR imaging or image analysis and display techniques, except where there are implications for 3D acquisition or image reconstruction.
